The Executive Director of Parks & Recreation is a full-time, exempt leadership role overseeing the Parks and Recreation Departments. Reporting to the Village Administrator, this position is responsible for setting the strategic direction, managing financial operations, and ensuring the successful delivery of recreational programs and services. The role includes unifying two departments, overseeing staff development, managing facilities, and community outreach.
- Operational Oversight: Manage RecPlex and park facilities, supervise staff, and ensure all departmental goals align with Village priorities.
- Leadership: Develop and provide direction to staff to foster a collaborative and high-performing team.
- Hours and Attendance: The position typically requires a Monday to Friday schedule, with evening or weekend commitments for meetings and Village events.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelors or Masters Degree and extensive business experience driving high end customer service, revenue generation, and efficiencies. Qualified candidates from any industry background are encouraged to apply.
Annual salary for 2025 is $115,056 to $155,754
