A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A Shelter Advocate

You help victims receive immediate support by working with local hospitals and Law Enforcement. In the shelter, you ensure the client’s basic needs are met by stocking fun and nutritious food and other necessary items, keeping the group spaces clean, and toys and self-care items readily available. Some days you may be putting away donations while other days you might be engaged in a lively game of charades with children residing in the shelter.
