Join Our Team: MYSO is seeking a dynamic, innovative, and experienced Marketing Director to be our lead storyteller. In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead the implementation of our new marketing strategy and reposition our brand in local, regional, and national markets. This role will be instrumental in shaping our public image, driving our marketing strategies, resulting in increased leads, and earned revenue (i.e. increasing our student recruitment, donor base, and concert goers).
Key Responsibilities:
- Marketing Leadership: Execute marketing plans aligned with MYSO’s goals; leverage market trends to elevate our brand; oversee the marketing team.
- Brand Repositioning: Partner with our marketing agency to lead and implement a brand awareness campaign that upholds the heritage of our past AND drives organizational growth. Craft messaging for diverse stakeholders; overseeing brand identity across platforms.
- Digital Marketing: Lead digital initiatives, analyze metrics, and manage our online presence.
- Public Relations: Build media relationships locally, regionally, and nationally, act as a spokesperson, and manage media outreach.
- Community Engagement: Develop community partnerships and organize marketing campaigns to promote MYSO.
- Event Promotion: Play a central role in the orchestration and promotion of MYSO’s exclusive events, including concerts, donor cultivation gatherings, international tours, and the annual gala.
- Revenue Generation: Implement marketing strategies that drive recruitment and revenue (ticket sales, program enrollment; fundraising).
- Budget Management: Oversee marketing budget, ensuring resource effectiveness.
- Reporting and Analysis: Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) around brand awareness, retention, and growth. Provide regular performance reports and market insights.
- Marketing Communications: Manage internal and external communication strategies to support organization-wide alignment. Develop communications that reflect the communication preferences of our constituents (students, parents, board members, donors, and community members).
Candidate Profile:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or related field.
- Minimum of five years of marketing experience, preferably in a nonprofit setting.
- Strong digital marketing, public relations, and brand management skills.
- Innovative thinker committed to youth development.
- Excellent leadership and project management abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Publisher, Adobe, Canva and Hootsuite.
- Flexibility to work extended hours as needed for events and meetings.
