TRANSITIONAL SERVICES MANAGER
Safe Harbor – Division for Men. The Milwaukee Rescue Mission’s programs for men range from meeting their short-term emergency needs, to providing longer term services that can help them break free from addictions, find and keep a job, and grow in their Christian faith. All with a foundation built on Gospel truths. New Journey Transitional Services (NJTS) is a 6-month transitional living program that helps men take further responsibility for their own lives. Participants receive additional support and guidance to help make a transition back into the community. The comprehensive services of NJTS help men secure employment, manage their finances, handle legal issues, find strength through Christian counseling and restore broken relationships.
Safe Harbor is seeking a Christian man to fill a full-time, Transitional Services Manager position. This position is an ambassador of the New Journey program, developing and enhancing the stable transition of graduates relationally, emotionally, spiritually, and behaviorally.
WORK SCHEDULE: Full-time, Monday-Friday. mainly 1st shift with one or two evenings per week (12:00pm-8:00pm, negotiable).

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Internal:
- Build ongoing relationships with New Journey participants, graduates, and alumni, remaining in contact with 80 percent of New Journey graduates one year after they graduate New Journey.
- Help current program participants develop multiple mentor relationships (spiritual formation, local church, and professional/career).
- Effectively disciple adult men, moving them from unhealthy dependency to healthy interdependency.
- Ensure graduates are utilizing services available to them and their families.
- Work with graduates and the Transitional Services Advocate to develop active Alumni Association.
- Work with MRM Development Department to recruit, train, and equip a group of professional volunteers to help with tutoring, pastoral counseling, and the career development of our program participants.
- Savvy usage of Social Media as a tool to connect with and inform program graduates.
- Ensure that program participants are properly managing banking accounts
- External:
- Build quality professional relationships in the community which lead to wage appropriate jobs for New Journey graduates.
- Successfully network on behalf of program graduates by being professional in appearance and orientation and having a clear understanding of the professional/business community
- Understand the local church community and its value in order to effectively work alongside pastors and mentors to help program graduates engage with local church ministries
QUALIFICATIONS:
- A mature Christian male with a servant’s heart who is able to relate well with and care for others in a diverse population
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 3-5 years successful ministry building and leadership experience
- Excellent interpersonal communication, mentoring and networking skills
- Detail orientated with excellent organization and follow through skills
- Strong self-starter and program builder with a high level of personal motivation and integrity, requiring minimal supervision
- Computer literacy, proficient working with database software, Microsoft Office applications and Social Media
- Valid Drivers License and good driving record
- Have a genuine concern for the salvation and spiritual welfare for all those encountered though the ministry of MRM, seeking to model and share the hope of the gospel within the established responsibilities of this position.
- A workplace demeanor consistent with a Christian church environment: civil, respectful, polite, and responsive
- Be in agreement with and subscribe to the MRM Statement of Faith and the MRM Statement of Biblical Convictions
- Be a committed follower of the Lord Jesus Christ, which is evident in personal testimony and Christian conduct
