Position Summary: The Uplift WI Shift Supervisor is responsible for providing guidance, direction and supervision to phone operators, responding to calls as needed, and addressing issues or concerns during assigned shifts. The Uplift WI Shift Supervisor will be immediate/direct oversight of peer warmline staff during their shifts and tasks or issues that may arise during operating hours.
Shift Supervisor Shifts:
- Hours: 12-5PM weekdays, off on Mondays
- 3-10PM alternating weekends with other Shift Supervisor
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Take calls as needed to meet demand, particularly when the line is short-staffed
- Giving primary guidance on situational problems to peer operators
- Monitor incoming calls (via our phone system) as needed, to ensure operators tend to live calls and adhering to the peer support Code of Ethics, Scope of Practice, and Core Competencies.
- Read call logs during your shift & provide summary reports to pass along to other supervisors via Slack
- Ensure operators are reporting for their shifts; contacting them if they don’t show up and making sure shifts are covered if issues arise
- Ensure that all Uplift WI policies and procedures are followed to provide consistency and high-quality in the service
- Support peer operators as needed during their shifts; Provide peer support/debriefing to peer phone operators
- Check in with other supervisors weekly/as needed
- Host weekly staff meetings as needed
- Document any necessary information to provide to Program Supervisor and fellow Shift Supervisors
Qualifications/Skills and Knowledge Required/Personal Qualities:
- Background in mental health, (professional, educational and/or personal) or public health preferred.
- Strong organizational skills required.
- Experience with Microsoft Office products, Zoom, and other basic computer skills required.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
Supervisory Relationship:
- Work in tandem with other Shift Supervisors and Program Supervisor. Report to Jensen Bosio (Program Supervisor).
Hours/Salary/Benefits:
- Position is part-time, under 30-hours a week (technically 27 hours a week)
- Pay:
- Time and a half on Holidays
