Position Summary:

The Healthcare Pathway Student Lead reports directly to the Program Services Manager and is responsible for preparing high school juniors and senior students for careers in the healthcare field. This role involves developing and facilitating interactive learning sessions, administering exams, and coordinating experiential learning opportunities such as site visits and job shadowing. Through structured guidance and mentorship, the Healthcare Pathways Student Lead will help students gain exposure to various healthcare pathways and support their professional growth.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Curriculum Development: Design and implement lesson plans tailored to students’ career interests.
  • Student Mentorship: Provide individualized feedback and support for students’ academic and professional development.
  •  Logistics Coordination: Manage all aspects of offsite learning experiences, including permissions, transportation, staffing, and scheduling.
  • Program Engagement: Facilitate student participation in weekly Thursday Academy sessions and track engagement.
  • Attendance & Documentation: Monitor student attendance and approve weekly timesheets.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the Program Services Manager and Accountability Coaches to identify and address barriers to students’ career practicum completion.
  • Meetings & Communication: Attend all required individual and staff meetings to ensure alignment with program goals and expectations.
  • Perform other work duties as assigned.

Work Schedule:

  • This is a contractual position for the duration of April – August 2025,
  • Curriculum Design Preparation, April – May 2025 (Remote, flexible scheduling)
  • Summer Program, June 23- August 9, 2025 (In-person, Monday- Thursday, 9 am – 3 pm)

Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled with a minimum of junior or senior status in a regionally accredited institution pursuing a healthcare-related degree.
  • Minimum of one (1) supervisory experience with student groups.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience in youth development.

  • Exceptional facilitation and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and motivate an audience. 
  • Flexibility and ability to pivot in real-time.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Intermediate to advanced competency in Microsoft Office 365 and Google Suite
  • Project management experience.
  • Ability to communicate and foster effective relationships with colleagues, community partners, students, and parents of diverse cultural, social, educational, and financial backgrounds.

Compensation

  •  This is a contractual position with a total payment of $5,000, with a monthly payment of $1,000 from April through August of 2025.
