Hispanic Professionals of Greater Milwaukee (HPGM) was formed in 2001 with the vision of showcasing Latino talent in Wisconsin and providing individuals with the support they needed to reach increasing levels of success in their careers.
Today, HPGM is more committed than ever to increasing economic prosperity and growing Latino influence for a stronger Wisconsin. Their vision is a Wisconsin where economic and social advancement is a reality for all Latinos, which remains at the core of their programming and initiatives.
As HPGM grows and expands, they are continually creating programs tailored to the needs of the diverse membership base, reaching across sectors and experience levels. HPGM currently has three important positions available to lead us through this growth.
The Development Director, Program Manager, and Communications Director will individually and collectively play a key leadership role in HPGM’s growth and evolution. HPGM serves more than 3,600 students and professionals annually in Wisconsin and collaborates with and supports more than 100 community organizations, corporations, educational institutions, employee resource groups, non-profits and small businesses. HPGM’s mission is to create a dynamic environment for Latino professionals to thrive by providing culturally affirming leadership development, mentoring, networking, and nurturing a network of support for Latinos in Wisconsin.

Program Manager Position Overview
HPGM is looking for a Program Manager (PM) who is strategic, organized, creative, and flexible. They are looking for someone with the ability to identify trends in the industry and adapt them to deepen program effectiveness and meet the needs of the community. This individual will manage HPGM’s signature programs and initiatives and will partner with the President and Chief Possibilities Officer and Development Director to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and funders in the community.
Essential Responsibilities
The Program Manager is accountable for the implementation and management of all HPGM programs. The PM collaborates effectively through timelines and project plans to execute high-quality, on-time, and on-budget programing for HPGM members.
- Lead the planning, promotion, and implementation of signature programs including Board Pipeline Initiative, Cafecito con HPGM, Mentor Mindset, Leadership Summits, member socials, Scholarship Program
- Maintain the annual program calendar to ensure alignment with organizational goals and resources, as well as desired member impact and outcomes
- Use HPGM’s project management software to create and execute project plans for all HPGM programing, including logistics, communications, and content planning
- Effectively collaborate with HPGM team and contractors on programming logistics to ensure high quality, on time, and on budget execution of programming and initiatives, including site selection, vendors, guest experience, etc.
- Partner with the Development Director and President and Chief Possibilities Officer on raising funds for signature programs, including cultivating and stewarding donors and prospects
- Serve as liaison with the Scholarship and Programming & Strategic Partnerships Committees
- Lead ongoing program evaluation and data collection efforts to drive data driven decision making within HPGM
- Partner with the VP of Operations to develop annual program budgets
- Effectively manage annual program budgets to ensure responsible use of HPGM funds
Qualifications
Education and Skill Requirements: Education and experience preferences based on job-related requirements and consistent with business necessities, including:
- 3-5 years of experience in program management, program development or related field
- Bachelor’s degree from college or university or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Demonstrated ability to direct activities of multiple programs undertaken simultaneously
- Demonstrated growth in your ability to manage programs and projects end-to-end (concept to design and implementation)
- Demonstrated ability to build and leverage networks to achieve the vision of HPGM
- Ability to work closely with various stakeholders in an efficient and expedient manner
The annual salary range for this position starts at $60,000.
This is a full-time hybrid position with 0-10% travel, inclusive of in-person collaborative meetings and scheduled time with the VP of Operations.
