POSITION(S) REPORTS TO: Executive Director

POSITION(S) THAT REPORT TO YOU:  N/A

EXEMPT/NON-EXEMPT EMPLOYEE STATUS:  Exempt (Minimum of 37.5 hours/week)

GENERAL SUMMARY:

Manage projects that relate to the VACC marketing and communication efforts including, but not limited to: organizing conference calls, and meetings. Working in concert with the Executive Director to develop and implement a marketing and communication plan to increase certificants. Support the VACC and Executive Director to help fulfill the goals and mission of the VACC.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES (Minimum of 37.5 hours/week):

  • Develop and implement marketing and communication plans including but not limited to social media, ad placement, reciprocity agreements, etc.
  • Maintain the contents of the VACC website including making updates and corrections and creating new pages using a content management system.
  • Work with the VACC committees such as the marketing committee on various projects/initiatives;
  • Coordinate communications generated from the VACC business office including keeping a schedule of emails, proofreading outgoing messages, and formatting messages into an HTML template.
  • Monitor usage of the website using Google Analytics and regularly provide updates to the Executive Director.
  • Coordinate production of the VACC newsletter.
  • Work with internal departments (IS, TS, CS, Mail and Accounting) as needed for VACC projects.
  • Assist VACC Executive Director with additional projects as needed.
  • Maintain statistics and reporting related to the performance of VACC’s various communication channels.
  • Provide backup for the Executive Director when needed;
  • Attend conference tradeshows as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

AMOUNT OF TRAVEL REQUIRED:

Approximately 7 days per year.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent professional experience in related field.
  • Marketing and communication experience preferred.
  • Computer proficiency, outstanding organizational and communication skills.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Lifting 20 – 30 lbs. may occasionally be required ​

*This position is located in downtown Milwaukee, WI and a minimum of two days onsite in the office (including Wednesday as an all-staff-in-office day) are a requirement of the role.
