Position Overview

Data You Can Use is seeking a dynamic, strategic, and detail-oriented Operations Manager to oversee the execution of day-to-day operational functions. Reporting to the Executive Director, the Operations Manager will support project coordination, internal operations, vendor relations, financial tracking, and staff support processes. This role will ensure that DYCU’s operational infrastructure runs smoothly, supporting the organization’s ability to serve the community effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Project Management of Data Projects (30%)
    • Support the planning, implementation, and tracking of data-related projects to ensure deadlines and milestones are met.
    • Maintain project documentation, reporting, and communications with stakeholders.
    • Assist in integrating data-driven decision-making processes across projects.
  2. Operations Management (30%)
    • Oversee daily office operation, including vendor relations, office needs and IT coordination.
    • Maintain operational policies and procedures to ensure efficiency and compliance.
    • Support organizational processes, such as documentation management and internal communications.
  3. Human Resources and Talent Support (15%)
    • Assist in the recruitment, onboarding, and professional development of DYCU staff.
    • Support efforts to foster a positive, inclusive, and equitable work environment.
    • Help implement strategies for staff engagement, retention, and growth.
  4. Financial Oversight (15%)
    • Assist in budget tracking, financial reporting, and expense monitoring.
    • Work with the Executive Director to support financial documentation and reporting for grants and funders.
    • Ensure compliance with financial policies and assist in identifying opportunities for cost savings.
  5. Administrative and Stakeholder Support (10%)
    • Coordinate logistics for board meetings, including preparation of materials and scheduling
    • Provide administrative support for external partnerships and community engagement efforts.
    • Assists in preparing reports and documentation for funders, board members, and partners.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of professional experience in operations management, administrative coordination, or project support.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
  • Experience in office management, HR processes, or financial tracking preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficient in basic data management tools.
  • Ability to work independently while meeting deadlines, and collaborating with team members.
  • Familiarity with non profit operations or data management is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits:

Salary is commensurate with experience, expected to range from $55,000-$70,000 annually. Data You Can Use offers a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, retirement plans, 15 days paid vacation plus holidays, and professional development opportunities.
