Social Work Ethics in Leadership and Macro Practice
The UWM Helen Bader School of Social Welfare is hosting a workshop on “Social Work Ethics in Leadership and Macro Practice” on June 8th and June 15th from 2-4pm (attendance on both dates is required to earn CEHs):
“The management of ethics and boundaries challenges faced by macro practice practitioners are unique and can pose especially challenging dilemmas. This workshop will address an array of challenges and opportunities encountered in positions of leadership during the provision of social services. Participants will gain an increased awareness of these unique ethical dilemmas and will learn strategies to confront and address these issues. Additionally, it is essential for organizational decision makers to recognize and address institutional racism, while leading in the movement for racial justice. Strategies will be discussed utilizing the NASW Code of Ethics, best practices, and current literature.”
