Position Summary:
Eras Senior Network seeks an experienced Grants & Compliance Specialist to manage the full lifecycle of grant funding, ensuring compliance with funding requirements, and supporting the organization’s financial sustainability. This role includes identifying new funding opportunities, preparing grant proposals, overseeing grant reporting, and maintaining compliance with federal, state, and private funding regulations.

Responsibilities and Core Functions:
Contract Procurement:
- Leads procurement processes for vendors and subcontractors following federal, state, and local regulations. Assists in preparing and reviewing proposals to ensure grant compliance.
- Prepares contractor and subcontractor agreements to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, grant solicitations, and awards.
Grant Portfolio and Performance Management:
- Research and identify potential grant opportunities from government agencies, foundations, and corporations.
- Develop, write, and submit compelling grant proposals and applications.
- Track grant deadlines and ensure timely submissions of applications and reports.
- Collaborate with program and finance staff to develop project budgets and financial reports for grant proposals.
Compliance and Reporting:
- Monitor compliance with grant agreements, including reporting requirements and allowable expenses.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation for all grant-related activities.
- Prepare and submit timely financial and narrative reports to funding agencies.
- Assist in audits and site visits by grant funders and regulatory agencies.
Financial and Administrative Support:
- Work with the finance team to ensure proper allocation of grant funds.
- Track and report on grant expenditures, ensuring alignment with approved budgets.
- Develop and maintain grant policies and procedures to ensure compliance.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for grant funders regarding compliance and reporting.
- Provide training and support to program staff on grant requirements and best practices.
- Foster strong relationships with funding organizations and community partners.

Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, social services, public administration, or accounting. Preferred knowledge and working experience in a nonprofit, public and/or grant compliance environment, or equivalent combination of related education and experience.
- Knowledge of nonprofit accounting and administration of Federal and State grants.
- Experience with Microsoft Office and spreadsheet software.
- Proven and measurable experience in successfully obtaining and sustaining grant support.
- Budget development and management experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental policies/regulations.
- Excellent ability in writing reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.
- Ability to effectively present complex compliance information in verbal, numerical or visual form to executives and non-fiscal staff.
- Experience successfully maintaining positive relationships.
