The Funding Development Specialist is responsible for building and growing sustainable funding strategies to support the organization’s team and programs. This is a Full Time, 40 hour per week, salaried position with PTO benefits.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Understand and model the LOVE>hate Mission, Vision, and Values.
  • Develop, build, and grow sustainable funding strategies:
    • Create new and innovative avenues for funding.
    • Existing strategies: Assess to grow profitability and approach.
      • L>h Giving Society. Cultivate and grow donor base and relationships including private and corporate.
      • Support our annual Winter Campaign with the Executive Director and support from Hoan Marketing.
      • Improve Online Giving
      • Legacy event. (See below.)
      • Provide oversight to our Grant Writer; support content and information requests and share fundraising strategies.
    • Produce and promote our annual ‘Butterfly Legacy’ event.
      • Recruit and manage corporate sponsors/donors, volunteers, performers*, partner organizations, and third-party vendors for this event. Cultivate relationships with them including contracts, marketing support, and day-of on-site coordination .
      • Responsible for pre and post event data reporting including budget. Develop and meet Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s), with ED alignment, regarding income, expenses, sponsorships, and event attendance.
    • Collaborate with the marketing team on content and data to drive mission.
    • Assist with development and maintain the fundraising budget.
    • Meet established KPI’s

Position Details:

  • Salary: $45-50K based on experience
  • Hours: FT, 40/wk
  • Benefits: PTO, 2-4 wk/yr, based on experience
