The Apple Creek YMCA, located on the north side of Appleton, Wisconsin, is hiring an Executive Director. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys multi-faceted roles and has a strong desire to serve members, staff, board members and volunteers. As an executive director, you’ll be responsible for multiple program areas, including membership, building facilities, environmental education & nature preserve, wellness and child care & camps. Apply your skills to facilities management, program growth, staff development and relationship building while fostering strong relationships with our communities. In addition to serving as a mentor & leader, you’ll ensure members, guests & employees are taken care of, boosting members & employee satisfaction & retention.
This is a full-time exempt position with flexible scheduling.
The Apple Creek branch of the YMCA of the Fox Cities has a unique focus on environmental education that includes the oversight of the 102-acre Bruce B. Purdy Nature Preserve. In addition, this branch has a nature center program serving over 6,000 students each year, has a 3,500 membership base and has staff team of over 55 employees.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent preferred.
- Previous leadership experience including managing staff and budget responsibility preferred.
- Ability to motivate, retain, and develop staff.
- Deliver outstanding customer services to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community.
- Strategic understanding around membership growth and customer relationships that increase retention.
- Strategic understanding around program operations.
- Develop & manage the department’s budget and support fundraising efforts, including the Y’s Annual Campaign.
- Confidence with learning new software programs and using the data provided to drive strategy.
- Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite.
